Lansdale Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Fiat is looking for an energetic, customer service-oriented individual for a Service Associate position within our Service Department.

The Service Associate is an integral part of the function and overall success of the Service Department. The Associate answers customer questions and directs them to the appropriate staff member, responds to service emails, makes appointments from online inquires, and has wonderful phone skills. As with all positions within dealerships, the Service Associate is expected to uphold the highest ethical standards. A professional appearance and attitude are required

Job duties:

• Greeting the customers
• Assisting customers by providing the information needed
• Initiate the service process
• Escort customers to the service area
• Introduce customers to the Service Advisor
• Do a vehicle inspection upon arrival of vehicle
• Perform other duties as requested by management

Qualifications:

• Must have a valid and clean driver's license
• Be familiar with vehicle models and personnel within the dealership 
• Be polite and professional in manner
• Willing to learn

Job Responsibilities

• Perform work outlined on maintenance and repair orders to ensure customer satisfaction
• Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and repair in a timely manner
• Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs
• Able to explain mechanical problems and needed repairs to Service Advisors and vehicle owners in a non-technical manner
• Go on road tests with vehicle owners to have concerns demonstrated
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay in line with rapidly changing technology
• Other tasks as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Chrysler certification highly preferred
• State inspection and emissions licenses
• Ability to diagnose and repair engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and AC systems
• Complete required training
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• All applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

• Understand customers' problems and arrange for appropriate service
• Prioritize required services, and offer options
• Set and manage the expectations of the service delivery for both the customers and mechanics
• Continuously keep the customer updated on repair needs and completion times

Job Requirements:

• Exemplary customer service skills are a must
• Previous Service Advisor experience required
• Chrysler experience is a plus
• Dealership experience not required, but preferred
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
